I started running track for high school in 2019; however, I have been running for A.A.U. since 2017. My coaches say, “I am a very coachable athlete”. I love playing sports and l am always trying to improve. So, listening to my coaches has improved my performance on the field and off. All my coaches, from different sports, impressed upon me the concept of teamwork. When I attend college I am confident that I can and will graduate and continue to be coachable. I want to be part of a University where the players are teammates, mentors, and friends on and off the field.
There are some sayings I heard from my parents; “Together we succeed, leave no man (or woman) behind.” and “Be as a unit, it’s a stronger force.” I will keep this mentality with me throughout my college career. I intend to continue to have a coachable attitude, word harder, and keep the desire to be part of an awesome team.
