Personal Statement
My goal is to compete at the college level while working on my degree. I had been running on a track club for a couple of years before high school. With my experience, both my track coach and my cross country coach have looked at me as a leader for both teams. My high school just added track and field when I was a freshman so I have brought experience and leadership to the team. I have been very versatile for the team, running relays, long sprints, mid distance and distance events along with Triple Jump. Our school does not have a track or a long jump pit so occasionally we travel to a neighboring district's middle school and practice on an asphalt track. I am enjoying the aspect that I am helping to build the program at my high school. I hope to leave a legacy (and several school records). During the summer I train with a couple of AAU National and even a World Record holder (Brandon Miller 800m) on our track club (Ultimate Speed Academy). Its great to work out and train with people to push me to make me faster and stronger. I listen to every word my coaches say and I think my work ethic will more than meet your expectations.
I am a member of the National Honor Society and the National Business Honor Society and an active member of my church youth group. I have been on several Mission Trips over the past few years.
