Isaiah Watson, Ro...For college, my aspiration is to compete at a D1/D2 level in the 1500/1600. I hope to pursue a degree in Excersise science/Kinesiology, with the potential of becoming a sports medicine doctor or physical therapist. I originally was interested in engineering but a few years ago when I needed physical therapy, I was impressed at how the physical therapist was able to create a plan for me and work with me to improve my weaknesses. I hope to be able to do that for athletes. I also love to keep you moving and being in some type of sports medicine area I know will keep me on my toes and not behind a desk.
As one of the top track athletes at my school, I train daily, even in the off season, and set goals for myself, so I can give 150% every time I compete. I also strive every race to get a new PR, even if it’s just by a tenth of a second. I also have competed in the 4x400 and triple jump, and medaled several times in both. I love seeing improvement in myself no matter how small, no matter if it’s in a race, in my schoolwork, or mentally. I am really disciplined in my studies and schoolwork, and I’m able to navigate and balance the intensity of my classes and homework with the intensity of my track requirements. Im a National Honor Roll student, but have also set several school records in various events. As the oldest of 7, I know all about being responsible and helpful as well as keeping a good and positive attitude, and encouraging those around me; especially the ones younger that look up to me. I know I’d be a fantastic addition to any track team out there, because I am able to take positive critiques and corrections, I am a great listener and quick learner, and the work and dedication I give to this sport is proven in the competitive times I run, and will continue to run. I’d love to bring success to the college I go to, and make them proud!
