I deeply enjoy the sport of cross country. I have been doing it for many years. It really took hold of me though, starting freshman year, where my best time was a 18:55 at Capital City 7 of 7. The following year I loved it even more and ran a 18:02 at the Crazy Mountain Run. I finished the season 25th at the state meet located in Great Falls. Going into my Junior year, I ran constantly in the summer for the first time: putting in over 100 miles in July. My best time that year came at the Shepard Invite where I ran a 17:24. At the state meet, which took place in Kalispell, I finished in 8th and took home All-State honors. I am very accustom to running it cold weather, high altitudes, and hilly and uneven terrain. I am hard working and a good team player. Since my Sophomore year, I have also been a leader for my team. I feel that a longer distance than the 5k could suit me better, and thus I look forward to the possibility of running at the collegiate level.
