My Track Life:
In the 7th grade my 3 best friends and I decided to try Track and Field for fun. I never realized that I would find the sport that would define me or should I say, chose me.
There are two things that drive me when it comes to track. I'm determined to be the best competitor I can be and during this journey I've developed new friendships through track. I enjoy the camaraderie that track has allowed me find with my teammates and opponents . My Dad met one of his best friend's through competition and I wonder if that same experience awaits me.
The competition of Track and Field where it's my skill versus my opponents skill drives me. My end goal it to be first across the finish line every time. I put many of hours into becoming the #3 hurdler in New Hampshire, with the end goal to becoming the #1 hurdler. I do a lot of resistance training, explosion and plyometric drills and I'm incorporating a lot of sprinting workouts. This all culminates when I get on the line and I hear the gun go off and I cross the finish line first. It makes the grind all worth it.
