I want to throw in college because I am athlete at heart. I am dedicated, focused and coachable. I dedicate much of my time to becoming the best thrower I can be and teaching other students to be the same. My high school does not have a throws coach so I am coach, captain and athlete for our team. Coaching others has only grown my love for the sport. My goal is to throw on a college team of dedicated athletes, staff and community.
I love to work hard. I carry the gear, sweep out the circle, cheer my teammates and get to know the officials at my meets. I attend the pre-meet coach meetings.
I am the guy holding the door for the team to walk through, and the one who put out the speaker fire at the Homecoming Dance while everyone else was filming it on their phones.
I started throwing in my freshman year at Chaparral High School in Arizona. I wrestled for 2 years, one in AZ and one in NJ, often competing above my weight class and winning. I stopped wrestling my junior year to focus on indoor throwing. I have been a three season field captain for my school team, and was selected as First Team All Conference and Second Team All County for Discus.
