Jaylen Young '22 Recruiting Profile

In the 9th grade, I joined the Willingboro Highschool track and field team and have been a member ever since.  In the 10th grade, I became the Willingboro Highschool varsity track team captain and I have remained in this role through the 12th grade. This gave me another opportunity to practice and perfect my leadership skills. I made sure that all team members knew the importance of working as a team and embraced it. I also made sure that they became the best athletes that ever existed at that time. In addition to that, I was in the group 1 New Jersey state championships Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field 2019. In 2019, I was also able to receive New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic association Track and Field Award 2019, this was one of the best experiences in my life. It motivated me to perform better in my athletic career.  Most recently our team won its 4th straight state indoor championship, of which I have been a part of three of the four championships.
