Skyler Forman '19 Recruiting Profile

I am in my senior year at Albuquerque Academy in Albuquerque, NM and am interested in running XC and track in college. My main track events are the 1600m (PR: 4:30.77) and the 3200m (PR: 9:50.11); I also ran the 800m a couple times as a junior, although I have never really trained for it (PR: 2:02.02). My 1600m and 800m times are at altitude (5,000 ft.); my 9:50 PR in the 3200m was run in Arizona. My 5K XC times at altitude are pretty consistently in the 16 minute range; my PR is 15:57.80 this fall, also at altitude. 

I am a serious student, maintaining an unweighted GPA of 3.82/4.00 despite a rigorous course load and being a three-sport athlete (track, XC and basketball) at a nationally ranked independent high school. 

I did not run prior to 7th grade and feel that I am still learning more every year about how to race. I have set PRs each year, dropping 6 seconds on my 1600m my sophomore year and another 10 seconds my junior year. I am hoping to drop another 10 seconds this year in the 1600m and 20 seconds in the 3200m. I am a relatively young senior; I will not turn 18 until next June, so I believe I still have significant improvement in front of me.
