Daniel Barberio '21 Recruiting Profile

Running varsity track for the past 3 years has not only strengthened me as an athlete but also as an individual. My responsibility as captain has enabled me to be a leader for my team by engaging my teammates to work hard and show support for each other. Off the field, I have learned to balance physical training and academics in order to maintain an ‘A’ average. This balance helps me manage my time effectively, so I am able to participate in various extra-curricular activities such as working on my Eagle Scout project.

Running and keeping fit does not end on the track for me. Whether its running or circuit training, I work hard daily to keep my body in the best possible condition. I’ve played HS varsity soccer for the past three years and also play on an outside club team. While attending multiple IMG Academy Camps, I was given the opportunity to bring information, skills, and training back home to help and encourage success within my fellow runners at school.

Though my race times may not meet the criteria of certain schools, I can assure you that when given the chance, I will work hard to achieve and meet those standards. Once you get to know me, you will know I have the determination, positive attitude, and leadership skills to be a valuable member of your team.
