Personal Statement
I started to run back in 7th grade for the spring track team and continued so into 8th grade. However I did not do cross country because soccer was my primary sport in the fall. When I reached my freshman year, I planned to do soccer, but was cut from the team and decided to do cross country. Frustrated at being cut, I used it as motivation to instead of becoming a better soccer player, becoming a better runner and a better student. Throughout my high school career, I have been improving significantly on the track and academically through taking more advanced classes like APs and strengthening my GPA. Furthermore, during my workouts, I make sure to push myself to demonstrate my willingness to become faster and stronger. I am planning to run for a cross country/track team and receive an undergraduate degree followed by a masters in college.
