I started running Outdoor Track when I was in 7th grade. My Freshman year I ran the 800m and had an upset with my win in state qualifiers. After going to states that year I knew that all I wanted to do is run. The problem being was that my school did not have a Cross Country or Indoor Track Team and with budget cuts they would not fund another sport. My parents went to the school and worked with the administration, at the personal financial cost to my family including a coach, uniform, transportation and any fees associated with meets. We made this happen I was now a team of one having to train everyday with no teammates. I had a successful 1st year and I have been to States every season. In Indoor I went for the 1600m and the 1000m. I have inspired other to run in my community. For the 2014 Season we had a combined Cross Country team from 3 schools. We did not have a complete team but there were 4 boys and 3 girls. I have the determination and drive to compete at a collegiate level after all the obstacles I had to face to run in High school.
