Personal Statement
I am a senior at Chapel Hill High School and run for the varsity cross-country and track & field teams. In October, I won Wendy's Cross-Country Invitational. Last May, I won the 3,200-meter race at the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A state championships. I am also a member of the 4x800 relay team that holds the school record. This fall, I won the Conference and Regional meets, and placed third in the State Championships. I have had a passion for running since I was 10 years old. I enjoy running more than anything because of the satisfaction I get from competing and doing well. My dream is to run in college. I would like to attend a larger school with a competitive running program. I am open to programs in almost any area of the country. My preference is to run in Division I, although I am interested in opportunities at all schools. I have not yet decided on a major, but I am very interested in sports management.
