I've always been a runner and I've seemed to like it for some reason. Even when I was a kid. I started track in 7th grade, and I ended up even beating some of the school records. Then I knew track was something I could really like. 8th grade came along, and I even broke some of the school records there too! High school track finally came and I wasn't sure how it was going to go because I was going to race with people a lot older than me. But I competed and as I got older in high school, I started to do a lot better. I was a part of the sprint relays and we even broke our school record for the 4x100 this year at state. I found out my best event was probably the 400 meter race though. I've been taking a couple seconds off my 400m time each year, and I know I will do so next year also. My goal for next year is to get it under a 50 and I will do whatever it takes to do so. I'm a hard worker and passionate about the sport so I plan on to do track when I get into college as well as get a degree.
