Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Lucas Nitschke.

I am part of a small-town North Dakota Track & Field Team. My commitment to succeed and my love of the sport has enabled me to improve my running times year-after-year. I have personally placed 9th in the 1600, 10th in the 3200, and 18th in the 5000 (ND State Class B). I have tirelessly put in many hours of running, mostly on country roads, and in all types of weather.  I have adhered to the Nike slogan, “Just Do It!” My commitment and passion for excellence has served me well both athletically and academically. 

I want to attend a college/university that offers strong academics and a challenging Track & Field program. I am confident in my scholastic and athletic abilities, and I am ready to run the race!  Thank you for your consideration.
