My freshman year I was set to make it to State and actually place better than I did in Middle School for the Pole Vault. That was changed whenever I broke my leg and ankle at an optional practice, doing the sport that I loved, but I did not let that hold me back for the upcoming year. The injury really pushed me to come back the next year even better. I am glad that the situation happened because I was able to learn a lot from missing out on Track and Field.
I want to compete at the next level and join a collegiate level of competition, I believe that I can find the right program to help me in my journey to the next level. I do not let any opportunity go by for extra practice, I make sure to push my teammates as well to compete more and more each day. I make sure to work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the track, I do not only want to be known for my athletics but also my achievements in the classroom. I have cleared 15' in practice but my meet PR is 14' 6", I am now getting on a 15' pole.
