My name is Mitchell Grose and I am from Marietta, OH. I have been running since the seventh grade and am now a junior in high school. My personal record for a 5K is 16:11 and I earned "runner of the year" for my league. I am a co-captain for my high school cross country team due to my proven leadership qualities.
I prefer to attend a larger school with a quality math and science program. At this time i plan to pursue a math or science major. I do not have a preference for an exact location of school, I am open to anywhere I feel suits my needs. I have been running competitively for five years. My older brother is seven years my senior and he was a competitive runner for 10 years. He competed in cross country and track at a D1 university. After seeing his experiences I feel like I have a good idea what the college running program expects and I would like to pursue that for myself. My goal for my college athletics is to compete D1 and be the best I can. I am willing to do whatever it takes to reach a level of competition. Academics will not be a problem for i am a 3.9 GPA student in all AP and honors classes.
