I started running track in the 8th grade. Previously I had only been playing football, which I did for six years. After my freshman year of high school, I made the choice that running track and cross country were the best sports for me. My biggest accomplishments came during my freshman year as I lead my high school team to State as the anchor on the Varsity 4x800 relay team. Even though we did not place, the experience helped me grow as a person and as an athlete. As a runner I want what is best for my school and the team. I enjoy studying Mathematics and am a strong student. I look forward to furthering my education in college and reaching my academic goals. I believe I have the character and leadership skills that would be a good fit for your program.
