Personal Statement
I am 6'1", 165, and have always been an extremely determined and driven person. Ever since I was a kid I have been participating in sports and I have loved it ever since. I love the aspect of being on a team and I have a heart for helping out my teammates. In track and in football, I was almost always the last one still practicing. I had to leave practice on a positive note and I wanted to improve as much as I could everyday. I would imagine my opponents and I knew I could beat them if I worked harder. It has always been my dream to participate in college sports and I have longed for the competition. In 8th grade, I achieved 2nd in State for the 110m HH, Sophomore year (age 15) I achieved 6th place in the 5A State Championships for the 110m HH, and as a junior (age 16) I achieved 3rd place in the 5A State championships for the 110m HH. This year my coach and I are planning for me to compete in many more events. In football as a DB my senior year, I have been awarded Second Team All-League DB, the Central Oregon Athlete of the Week, and Defensive Player of the Week twice. I have also gone through many obstacles in sports and have learned techniques to overcome them. When I'd have a bad week in football or a rough race in track, my confidence would decline. Once my confidence would decline, I would do even worse in the sport. I learned that you need to forget about the past and KNOW you are better than you portrayed yourself and improve from there. People have always seen me as a leader. I truly care about my teammates and have helped them as much as I could. I'm very open to almost any schools. I like all the seasons so weather isn't a problem. Most of all, I want the most intense competition I can get to be the best I can be. I am very interested in the human body. Kinesiology and Physical Therapy sound fantastic and I love the feeling I get from helping people realize their potential. I believe I can be a great addition to your team.
