I am currently a senior 2-sport student-athlete. I was the team captain for the Warrenton High School Varsity Football Team and played offensive and defensive line. I was First Team All League Offensive Line and Second Team All League Defensive Line. I recently have had the honor to be chosen to play in the upcoming Oregon Shriners’ Hospital East-West All Star Football game. I am also the team captain for our varsity track and field team with league championships in javelin, shot put and discus with a new league meet record in the shot put. I placed at the OSAA 3A Championships in the javelin (3), shot put (1) and discus (4) and breaking our school shot put record that was held for over 40 years. I am the first shot put thrower in our schools 100 year history to win the OR State Championship in the shot put. I also currently hold our school record in the javelin. I was selected most valuable player my freshman, sophomore and junior year in track and field and voted 2019 and 2020 team captain. I play trombone for our high school band that has placed 2nd in the OSAA State Championships for the past 3 years. I am also in student council leadership where we volunteer for many local activities throughout our community. I pride myself on being coachable, accountable, hard working and dedicated to my coach, team and self. I work very hard to balance my class schedule with my sports schedule. My current goals are to continue building strength in the weight room, strengthening my throwing skills with expanded coaching, throwing drills, and plyometric training, and improving my distances to compete at the next level of college participation.
Most importantly, I am a man of faith. My success does not come from me alone and I know that my path in life has come from the support of my family, my church, my teachers, my coaches, my friends and my community. I believe that one needs to give back and to help those in need. My parents come from a hard upbringing and have instilled in me that I must work hard and take the failures in life and make them the wins. By building that foundation I will continue to become a better person and a better athlete. I'm learning how to take that "fire in the belly", as my coach calls it, and use that to build success on the field and in life. I'm lucky to have amazing parents who support me and also keep me in check with my grades, my physical health and most importantly, how to be a better person and handle the challenges that come my way. I'm excited to see where life takes me and the school that I will compete for and be a part of!
