When I go to college, I would love to run competitively on the cross country and track teams. I am a hard worker that strives to do the best that I can do both academically and in sports. Academically, I try to push myself by taking mostly honors level classes and have been named to the National Honor Society. In sports, I have shown leadership by being named a captain of my cross country team in my sophomore and junior years because of my work ethic and intensity. This past summer, I encouraged my team to join me for an intense off season training schedule. This dedication helped me lead my team form a 5-16 season to an outstanding 19-2 season. Also, I have dropped my PR in cross country from an 17:12 to a 16:31. My teammates and I have also been giving back to our community. We helped collect food for our local food bank, helped hand out warm clothing at The Project for the Needy and have helped a local church in a mission called Peter's Porch which gives food to the needy. I feel these characters make me an excellent addition to any team.
