Personal Statement
I am a dedicated student athlete. I will not miss a single minute of a workout and will always do what my coaches ask of me. I believe that as well as having a good relationship with my coach, I should respect and influence my teammates. At Mifflin County, we are reminded every day, that if we train hard and come together as a team, we can be very successful. At the beginning of this school year, my school(Indian Valley) and our rival school, Lewistown, merged to become the Mifflin County Huskies. So far, the motto of coming together as a team, has given us great success.
As a dedicated runner, I believe that there is always room for improvment if I keep working hard and do what I am told. Many runners in high school find it physically and mentally tough to improve times from year to year. In my career so far, I have found great improvement from year to year. As I have always stayed on top of my physical training, I believe it is very important to teach your mind how to focus in a positive way every day you run. At a normal week of Mifflin County High school practice, we do mental exercises several times a week. I have found this to help me to learn from bad race experiences and learn from mistakes in a positive way. Overall I will do anything it takes to be the best runner that I can be.
Being a good student is the most important part in my path to get into a college that I want to go to. As well as in running, I believe that there is always room for improvement in school. I believe that it is very important to stay on top of my school work to open doors into more colleges. I am currently interested in Division 1 and Division 2 colleges in Pennsylvania or the bordering 2-3 states.
