Owen Oliver '25 Recruiting Profile

I am an honors and AP student-athlete dedicated to reaching my goals. Just as in the classroom, I am relentless and love stepping out of my comfort zone to challenge myself athletically.    Ever since that first taste of exhilaration as I stepped out on the starting line for my first 5k invite in 9th grade, I knew this was the sport for me.  I fell and stayed in love with the “you vs. you” mentality of the sport and the feeling of pushing past pure exhaustion in order to reach my goals.  Since that first invitational, my goal times have changed, and yet my desire to run at the collegiate level has not wavered. 

I started competing lightly in 5th grade and really picked up the sport in 9th grade.  I always feel truly alive when I step out on that course with my teammates as we drive ourselves to the limit.  As a captain, I strive to create a welcoming environment who encourages accountability and enjoyment amongst myself and teammates.
