Personal Statement
My name is Anthony Peluso and I am Senior at Fort LeBoeuf High School in Waterford, PA. I will be graduating in June 2011. I have been a member of the track team for the past three years and I am planning to run in the spring.
My Primary event is the 400m, in which I broke the school record. I also run the 100m, 200m, and the 1600m relay, which I am the anchor. My personal records for each event are as follows:
100m-11.35
200m- 23.3
400m- 51.4
1600 relay- 3.27.2.
My team also broke the school record in the 1600 relay my Junior year. We went to states where we captured 13th in the state.
I consider myself to be a leader on the track team. I am a hard worker and always looking to improve myself. I am the last one to leave practice because I am either working on my starts or form. By having a good work ethic, my teammates see how hard I work and the pay offs. I give them words of encouragement and support during practice and meets. As a Senior, I need to be a motivator and push my teammates to help them achieve their potential.
Academically, I am looking for a school that will offer me a quality education along with an excellent athletic experience. I want to major in Criminal Justice. The school I am looking for should be about one to five hours from Erie, PA. The size of the school will not matter if the other criteria is met.
While in college, I am looking for the best possible athletic experience. I would like to participate on the track team as a Freshman. I am a team player who values cohesiveness and team chemistry and I hope make many contributions to the team.
