Personal Statement
I am Cory Tate I am a Senior at West-Oak high schooI which is in Westminster, South Carolina. I run Cross Country and Track and I have held a leadership position on my Cross Country/Track team for the past two seasons. The past season in Cross Country I lead my team to the state finials for the first time in 8 years. This track season I plan to run the 1600 in 4:50 and 3200 in 10:20. I come from a school where running is sometimes over looked and sometimes we may not have a coach that knows about running but I feel like I have done very well with what I had. I am always looking for a way to get better whether it's in the classroom or on the track. My goal is to succeed in whatever I do.
