Growing up, running was not on my radar. I played baseball from age 3 until entering high school. When I did not make the high school team, I decided to join my friends who ran track. By the end of that first track season, I ran a 1600m in 5:03 and realized that my passion is running.
I am very focused on my education and pride myself with being able to multi-task. I attained an impressive GPA and developed a successful lawn -care business; all while making running one of my top priorities. I feel that my time management skills have translated into my running and academic career. I will often begin my day with 5:30 am practices, then school, afternoon practices, studying and finally mowing until dark.
As the current leader on my Varsity Team, I lead by example and encourage my teammates to succeed. That’s why I believe that I will be the best, next collegiate recruit because of my leadership on-and-off the course. My goals for college are to pursue an Engineering Degree, while plugging into a reputable and positive team.
