Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to compete on a collegiate level. My passion, commitment, and work ethic for the sport sets me apart from other athletes. During my 10th grade year, I pulled my hamstring in the sub-sectional track meet and I was unable to finish the season. Prior to the pull, I was instrumental in helping my 4x400 meter relay team make it to the 2018 State Championship meet and was unable to compete with them. I was disappointed and motivated to rehab and come back stronger.
I completed my rehab and came back my junior year ready to compete. I won first place in the 110m Hurdles and the 300m Hurdles in the 2019 City Championship meet. I also was a part of the first place relay team in the 4x400m relay in the same City Championship meet. I was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the 2019 City Championship meet.
That year, I qualified to compete in the 2019 TN State Championship meet in all of my events. I won 3rd place in the 110m Hurdles with a 15.38; I won 4th place in the 300m Hurdles with a 40.59; and my team won 2nd place in the 4x400m relay with a 3:22.35.
I am also competitive in other events, i.e. 400 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and long jump.
