Personal Statement
Getting 2nd place at a cross country meet, my 8th grade year, gave me a desire of wanting to keep on getting better. Unfortunately, we got 3rd as a team at a district meet. We had to use teamwork, when one of us started to get tired, we help one another, keep on pushing each other, and break each other's wind for one another.
Track is a very competive sport. I had to keep on practicing, working harder, having to go to practice morning and afternoon, having the mentality of getting better, having to push past my comfort zone in order to get where I wanted to go, my freshman year is the highlight of my track life. I ran on varsity, I would always be scared to run because of all the upperclassmen there was, but I had to overcome this and be prepared to give my best.
