Personal Statement
My goal is only one thing: to innovate. After watching the race on Eliud Kipchoge breaking the 2-hour barrier in the marathon, I was astonished. I started reflecting upon myself and realized that I was the one that was pushing my team, just like Kipchoge pushed the limits of the human. I am the one that leads by example, even though I am not as great as other people in their huge, funded, and facilitated school with a top tier coach. I am the one that makes our team believe in their abilities by showing them that persistence and hard work gets me, who couldn't even complete a mile when I started, to the level of holding a school record. Therefore, I cannot give up. I cannot work less than anybody else. I do not want to work less than anybody else. I want to innovate my school toward the greats, by being the first person in my school to reach the elite level of the spectrum. I want to tell them, that it is not impossible.
I know that I am not the most talented runner in here. I know that I did not spend as much time as other great runners. But where are the fun if everyone gives up because other runners are better than them? I think that more and more inferior I am to other runners, I should be more and more motivated to become better. So, what should I do? I could work hard, but unfortunately, that is not enough. I should train efficiently, pinpointing my weaknesses and improving it.
To do that, I need your help. I need coaching advice, even though I search for hours and hours analyzing and researching the top coaches' training workouts and the logic behind it, I do not know which is the best for me because of my lack of experience. I do not ask of you of scholarships yet, because I know I am not good enough. However, I must become faster, stronger, and better. There is no other way. Even if my lungs were burning, even if my legs were breaking, even if my whole body is burning up in lactic acid, I could not give up. I need more support. I want you to see my progress and hard work. After looking at that, if you think that I will be an asset to your team, then email me or text me. Thank you for your time, and I hope you join my journey to an elite athlete soon.
