Clint Harris '10 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 6'6" 270lb Senior from Burleson, TX. I throw discus and shot put on my Varsity track team. I also am a starting Offensive Tackle on my Varsity football team. As a sophomore, I placed second in discus in the District 3-5A track meet in the 2008 season, which qualified me for the Region 1 5A track meet. I threw a personal best of 146'10" at regionals. This year, I am currently 1st in my district in discus with a personal best of 160'7" and am also throwing 51'1" in shot put. I want to go to a school that will provide me with the proper education and competition levels that will challenge me to do the best that I can do. I would like to major in secondary education with a preference of coaching. One of my goals is to be the best thrower at the college I attend, while maintaining a good GPA. I feel like I am a leader in my every day life, as well as a leader in my sport. I would like to stay in Texas, but would consider offers in other states. Hopefully I will earn a scholarship in this process.
