Joseph Boyd '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello potential collegiate destinations! My name is Joe Boyd and I have asperations to compete at the college level in pole vault. I have been pole vaulting since 7th grade and have grown to love the sport. I continue to improve, having increased my PR every year by a foot or more to my current 14' height (increased 12" since the spring). I am a self motivated hard worker on and off the track. My grades come first followed by my goal driven vault commitments. My goal next season was to break my high schools PV record of 14', which I have tied this indoor season and now want to reach 15' which I believe is within my grasp with the hard work I have put in this summer and fall. Also, I believe I have untapped potential in running events and well as long jumps. I have put all my focus to this point in pole vault technique and form, but to be more marketable for some programs I am willing to compete in more events.
