My life has been influenced by my parents and watching the professional sports on tv. So I’ve been influenced to try to be like them and play the sports that I liked to watch. I also try to be honest and a good person like my parents have taught me to be.
I got into track in 6th grade when I stopped playing baseball. I also only knew what track was because of Usain Bolt.
Through running track I’ve learned to never quit, stay positive, and keep the right mindset going into your event and after it’s over. I’ve also learned that there will always be someone to push you to get better.
My academic goals for high school is to graduate top of my class. Also to score really well on my SAT. For college I want to graduate with a masters degree and maybe my doctorate.
Some obstacles that I’ve overcome is injuries from football like I got a major concussion that took me out of the game for a couple weeks. I couldn’t train for any sport so returning that season I was a lot slower than usual. Then by the end of that season I went to the Texas state track meet and got a PR in the 800m.
My characteristics are that I’m coachable, I’m persistent, I take school seriously, I’ve played multiple sports and I’m a team player.
