Personal Statement

I have been throwing discus in track since the 7th grade, and I love it, I have spent countless hours trying to perfect my technique and consistently get better. My dream is to go to college and someday compete in the National Championship and if I can get good enough my major dream is to go to the Olympics. Although, I am not at that level yet I think that I can get to it.  have a great work ethic and I will bust my butt every day to get better, in the class room and in the ring! I have great grades and I am excited to go throw at the college level. I was a junior this year and placed 3rd at the State Meet. I am looking to go next year and win it, and among other things break the state record. After that I want to go compete at the college level and I'm pretty confident that I can. God is the main thing in my life and he had blessed me with the talent to throw the discus and I'm ready to go glorify him.

  • Go through my spin technique to many times to count each practice, and practice is everyday except for sunday. Monday through Friday I lift and run a track workout with my team, after we finish my grandfather and I go to the discus ring and start working for about an hour and a half. (My grandfather coahes me in the discus)
