ANDREW MICEK '19 Recruiting Profile

    If you ask anyone about me, I promise they will mention my passion for running, my love for math, science, and engineering, and my academic readiness. They are all major parts of my life.

    I've always loved math and science.  Everyone knows that I will pursue an education and career in the field. More recently, I have found a new part of my life that I never knew I was missing. Running. At the end of my Freshman year, my aunt introduced me to 5Ks. During the very first race I ran I fell in love with the sport. Since that day, I've continued my training, only getting faster and faster, and I joined my high school Cross Country team my sophomore year. After major improvements in my first year, there was no doubt that I would be one of our top varsity runners and a team captain in the two years to come. While I've become a key part of my school's team, I never turned my back on the wide world of running and I've continued racing in 5Ks outside of school, and I even created my own local running club, The Village Idiots!
