Hello, my name is Cameron Weldon and I am a cross country and track runner. Starting Freshman year I did not have the dedication or motivation to become a well-developed distance runner. it was not until Sophomore year that I became interested in training hard for cross country. Junior year I was on a Varsity team with mostly Seniors. This encouraged me to work harder and become faster. I soon tried the mile in track and ran a 4:59 in my first meet. This is where I developed the love for running I have now. My collegiate goals involve being recruited to an NCAA I or NCAA II college and working my way up to the top. I am a very dedicated worker academically and physically, and I do not stop at the sign of adversity. I believe I am different from other recruits in that I am driven to become the best and I will not stop until I get there. I do not settle to be an average runner, instead I strive for excellence in being the best runner I can become. Finally, I live by the motto "Grades come before sports" in every day life. I know that my grades have to meet my high expectations while I compete in sports.
