Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Harry Bellow. I am currently a junior running cross country and track for Kingwood High School in Kingwood, Texas. Right now, I am 6' and I weigh right around 130 pounds. I can run more consistently for longer distances and carry a fast pace throughout a long race. I also think I am good teammate and will always encourage others to do their best. I am open to any school that I feel will best help progress my skills as a runner and help me towards the Undecided major that I wish to pursue. I have not decided on a specific major yet. I seek to make a big and positive impact on the team I am with, progress my skills, become faster, and to run at the highest level possible.

- I ran the Anchor leg of the 4 x 1600m relay. We were in 3rd place and kind of close to 2nd but very far from first when I got the baton and I finished second far behind the Woodlands and in front of College Park. My split was a 4:26 because once I had College Park beat my coach told me to chill. Later I ran the starting leg of the DMR, a 1200m. I finished my leg in first and ahead of the Woodlands with a time of 3:07.

- Ran the 3200m and won with a time of 9:32 with heavy wind.

- Ran the final leg of the DMR (1600m). My team was in second by about 60-70m when I got the baton. However I ran a 4:27 and won the relay. Later I ran and won the open mile with a time of 4:23.

- Ran the 600 and 4 x 400. I won the 600 with a time of 1:22.9 and PRed in the 400 at 52.3.

- Learned a lot about form, racing strategies, and workout/training methods.

- 5th place on Varsity with a time of 16:46. Conditions were wet and the course had long grass, sharp turns, but was relatively flat. Our Team placed 1st.

- UIL 6A District 16 - 5K
- Placed 15th with a time of 16:13. The course was flat with many sharp corners and narrow sections. Our team advanced to Regionals, placing 3rd.

- 2nd Place with a time of 13:09. Conditions were sunny and the course was narrow but flat. Our team easily won the meet.

- Mcneil Invitational-5K
- 47th Place with a time of 16:30. This course was tough. With over 350 runners starting all at the same time (many dropping out due to injuries). The course had hills, narrow sections, and tree branches throughout. Though, the main difficulty was getting around people. If I could run this race again I would definitely get out faster so I can compete to my greatest ability.

- 12th Place with a time of 16:12. Course was flat with cool cloudy weather. Our Team Placed 1st (An improvement from last year in which our team placed 7th).

- Moonlight Madness-5K
- 9th Place with a time of 17:14 in Varsity Division 1 race. *VERY SLOW COURSE* Race was run at night, the course was cluttered with hills and various cracks in the ground. We placed 2nd just behind Woodlands College park (One of the nations best teams this year).
