Hi coaches, my name is Eli Jarvis. I am currently going into my senior year at Herriman High School in Herriman Utah and am on the cross-country varsity team. I am a dedicated student athlete with a strong commitment to supporting my team and always working hard to achieve personal records. I enjoy the support of my team, and as a team we work countless hours every day putting in the miles and training. In perspective, our team runs every morning for an hour and runs in the afternoon for more than two hours along with core training. My team starts the season out mellow, but overtime the training becomes more rigorous. This is how I am making my personal improvements.
I am currently holding a 3.9 GPA and also play the piano. I have been playing the piano for 7 years and I continue to improve my piano skills by memorizing the current composition I am working on. When I have downtime, I do enjoy card games to pass the time. One of my favorite accomplishments or personal records last season was making an 800m personal record from 1:58.78 to 1:55.16 at 4300 feet above sea level at the Phoenix Invite in Farmington, Utah. My goal for this XC season is to rank top 10 in Nike Cross Nationals and support my team to win the meet.
I am looking for a college or university that has a progressing track or cross-country team, good Engineer, Science, or Math programs and a commitment to strengthen the students’ success.
