Personal Statement
My love for running began as a young child running between the bases on the baseball field. As I got older I quickly realized that my interest in running was more than what baseball could satisfy. Some of my best friends are teammates and competitors that I have met throughout the years competing in track. Track has taught me that you will be rewarded for your efforts. The more time and training you put in the better you perform.
This was very obvious last season when I did not achieve the goals I had trained for. I discovered right before regionals I had trained and competed all season with Mono. Looking back I would not have changed a thing. I would have still approached my season with the same determination.
My senior year has not turned out at all like I thought it would. A couple of weeks after outdoor season started, and before any scheduled meets, the season was suspended due to Covid-19. However, I continue to train. I have personal goals that I have set and I plan on achieving them.
I train with Sean Maye of Gold Medal Athletics https://www.goldmedalathletics.com/ and am seeing significant improvement in all of my events.
My primary events are the 100M, 200M & long jump. I have also run the 400M, thrown javelin, shot and jumped some high jump.
