Personal Statement
As a student and athlete I aspire to push myself by setting small goals that help prepare me to reach my greater goal of success in both school and life. I grew up playing/competing in a variety of sports at an early age. As I grew up (and with encouragement of my parents) I developed a strong interest in Track and Field/Cross County which now dominate my athletic resume. These sports provide me with an opportunity to not only push myself as an individual by setting goals, but also as an outlet to exhaust my competitive nature. While I am one of many students who run all year long, I firmly believe that I stand out as an athlete and an individual. Running to me is more personal. I run not for merit or recognition, but simply because I love to run. I hope to attend a college where I can pursue my interests in the field of Bio-Engineering as well as continuing my passion for running at a competitive level.
