Personal Statement
My name is Jalen Hughes and I'm a current high school senior in Aldie, VA and attend John Champe High School. My dream is to be a collegiate track athlete. I've always loved running since I was a little kid. Whether it was soccer, baseball, football, or track I was always running. I am determined to work hard and be a leader to all of my peers, as I have been the team captain for my team for a year now. I work hard to be efficient in the things I do, especially on the track and pay attention to details. My desired major in college is mechanical engineering and it is important for me to find a school where I fit in and have a good support system not only athletically, but educationally as well. I am looking to make any team I am on better as a student, athlete, and leader.
