I love track and field and I am dedicated to putting in the hard work it takes to be both an honor student first and also a highly competitive athlete. I believe that being accountable is one of the first steps toward being successful. I also believe we were put here to serve, therefore, I am currently volunteering at a local recreation center, where I am lending a hand where ever it is needed.
I am currently an A-B Honor Roll student with the commitment to improving academically and athletically during my senior year. I am an active member in the Prince George High School Fellow Christian Athletes (FCA) and DECA. I serve as an usher at my local church where I spend most of my Sundays. I am an avid outdoorsman, and I love fishing, especially the challenge of finding the big bass.
I plan to pursue a BS in Engineering, but have not yet settled between mechanical, industrial, petroleum, or aerospace engineering degrees.
This track season has by far been my best; I have been improving my times with each successive meet. During the 2016 indoor season, I finished with personal records (PR) of 35.69 in the 300m, 50.39 in 400m, and 1:06.40 in 500m. Although my indoor season was great I think my outdoor season was better, finishing 3rd in the Virginia 5A State Championships with a time of 48.9 in the 400m, and becoming a 2 x All-American as a member of the 4x100m and 800m sprint medley relays.
Hard work and dedication are principles I believe will help me achieve my goals.
