I am an incredibly dedicated student athlete, taking several AP and honors classes. Competing at the collegiate level has always been a dream of mine, and a dream that I have turned into a goal by working on getting better every day. Since freshmen year, I was the number one runner on my cross country team, and I had to take on the role of a leader at a young age to help my team-mates as well as myself get to our highest possible level. Being a leader is now a situation I fell very comfortable in, and I believe that I do my best when given the opportunity to lead a team. As a sophomore in track I ran a 4:23 1600, and I qualified for the Division 1 state meet. My goal next year as a junior is to podium in the 1600 and run a 4:15, as well as a 3200 in the 9:20's. As a junior in cross country I ran a 16:00 at the state meet and placed 4th in division 2. My PR came from the Nike Cross Heartland Regional where I ran a 15:43 and earned honorable mention all region status (states included WI, MN, IA, ND, SD, KS, NE). Come senior year I look for a state cross country title and a 5k time in the 15:30's. I am preferably looking for a Division 1 school in the Midwest or Northwest, but a competitive school at any division anywhere would definitely draw my interest. I hope you consider me when searching for new recruits.
