My name is Kaiden Wright. I am 5'8 and 132 pounds. I haven't been playing volleyball for very long, I started in November of last year because of my girlfriend, and I found that I actually loved the sport. Since then, I've made a full commitment from football and I am now playing for a locally owned club. I go to La Joya Community High School, and they do not yet have a boys volleyball team.
For my freshman year of high school, I didn't have the best of grades. I maintained a steady 2.4~3.0 but did not let it fall below that. I hope to go to a good college, and eventually get drafted to the Volleyball Nations League. I am going to work towards my goal of going to my dream college to study marine biology, and get at least a bachelors degree in the field. During that, I will work and try my hardest to get drafted to my favorite VNL team, the USA national volleyball team.
I sill have a very long way to go, and I need to practice way more and get a lot better, but I am willing to put in all the work necessary to achieve my goals. I'm rough around the edges in most of my play style, which I need to work on almost everything, including most of the fundamentals. I do whatever it takes to help and contribute to the win as much as I can. I have to admit that I am a bit stubborn and in the heat of the moment when I'm worked up, I am difficult to talk to sometimes, but that doesn't mean I don't contemplate advice later on. After every game, I sit down and think about what I could've done better, what I need to work on, and what I was satisfied with. Occasionally, I ask some teammates and coach about how I did and what I could've done better. Once I get home, I review my footage further and write down on a paper what I could've done better.
What would make me a great addition to your team in the future is that I always put my team before me. I am coachable, trustworthy, responsible, and goal-driven. I strive to achieve goals that I set for myself. I'll practice if someone says I need to practice, and I will put my all into every second of it. I hope to eventually play at the collegiate level of volleyball, and I thank you for your consideration.
