Volleyball is a sport defined by the smallest details. From hours of preparation to having a healthy mindset, games are decided by what happens before and after. To me, volleyball is more than a game; it is a mindset. When I first touched a volleyball my freshman year, I instantly connected to the sport. Experiencing high-level volleyball being played, I knew that was where I wanted to be. First in, last out. Constantly learning, asking questions, and perfecting the smallest details to reach my full potential. I anticipate each match to see the results of my preparation. I have earned individual achievements such as being the sole sophomore on the all-league team, as well as receiving the coach’s award, being named offensive player of the year, and even MVP for the season, but I treasure that volleyball is a team sport, and my passion is winning with my teammates. To date, the highest honor I have earned as a volleyball player was being selected as captain for both my club and school teams. My work ethic is tremendous. I have been told by my coaches that I will go far in volleyball because of my coachability. I will impact my team with anything necessary to reach our goals.
