Over the past couple of years, I have really grown as a volleyball player. Starting at a local club team I was voted captain by my teammates despite not knowing how to play volleyball. The next year committed to club further away and lead them to the championship game at Joiner Nationals. Being a two-sport athlete has helped teach me how to manage an active schedule while keeping a 4.0 GPA and getting enough sleep. As a player, I value having good relationships with all my teammates and coaches because everyone will have to work together to achieve our goals. Also, on the court, I stay calm and collective and support my teammates even when it is not going our way. I have quickly learned and adapted to the game and different coaches and their different styles of coaching. This has helped me improve as a player to take in different advice from coaches to make me an overall better player.
