Personal Statement
Volleyball is a sport others would say I "obsess" over. What others usually attributed to "obsession" I only saw as passion. The moment I truly understood my love for the sport, I knew I would regret not putting my soul into it. I have dedicated myself to studying the game meticulously at every possible angle and opportunity. Not starting from childhood, I was disadvantaged experience-wise compared to many others, and just "passion" wouldn't close the gap. There had to be a different approach and or method to grow faster. My daily routine has begun to revolve around the idea of even being 1% more efficient on the court. Anything that leads to my growth is something I always work towards. I leave no detail unexplored, capitalizing on seemingly arbitrary factors, like the length of my fingernail or the speed of my eye. This level of dedication I have for the sport drives me to improve and reach new heights in my journey constantly. I will continue to grow and strive for excellence on and off the court and I hope to continue my journey collegiately surrounding myself with a community of like-minded athletes.
