Giancarlo Rodriguez '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Giancarlo Rodriguez. This last season I played Libero/DS for 352 Elite Volleyball 17 Tony in Orlando, Florida and won the 2022 USAV National Championship in the 17's.  Last year, I played Libero for Ocean Bay Volleyball Club, my team came in the 2nd position at USVA Nationals 16's, and I received the All-American Team award at USAV Nationals. I am Class 2023, attending Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida. I have made the Varsity Team since my Freshman year, taking a very active role in the team as a player and Captain, cheering, motivating and leading my team for the past three years.  For 2 years consecutively I have been selected to the SAC All Conference - 2nd Team.  I consider myself to be a very passionate, dedicated and above all an enthusiastic team player.   My hard work and dedication to this sport has really helped me achieve one of my goals which is to play at a highest volleyball level.  Prior to this for Season 2018-2020, I played for Winter Park Volleyball Club and won the AAU National Championships for 2019 and 2020.

I do community service at a Local Girls Volleyball Club. I assist a 13-year-old team and help them train in the court. Also have become the Hagerty High School Team Manager for the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team for 2 years.

Volleyball has been a big part of my life, since I was born and has continued through my 17 years. My sister has been playing volleyball for 15 years, and she has been my mentor throughout my volleyball career.  I’m a team player, dedicated and hardworking Student - Athlete who is looking to play at the highest level of Volleyball.
