I love the sport of volleyball and with each new lesson from coaches, I apply it to my work ethic on the court. What makes me different from other volleyball players is that I bring joy and laughter to the court because I believe that when we have high spirits and our attitude is correct, we will play correct. I have had many coaches during my 4 years of volleyball that have taught me a vast amount of things to strengthen my caliber on the court. My experiences with those coaches have broadened my work ethic because I'm always learning different ways of how to play ball. With each new technique and style, I apply it to every game that I play so the opponent doesn't know my next move or how to counter it. My love for the game has strengthened my leadership skills through bondage with the team and making practices a positive environment for everyone. I maintain a positive environment at practice by encouraging my teammates to push through adversity whenever they make a mistake. In doing this, my teammates look up to me as a role model and I want to make sure that as a team captain, my crew is always 100 percent. I play both club volleyball and high school volleyball. Therefore, I am tasked to work with two separate teams and learn how to step out of my comfort zone. This makes me a great team player for any team in general. My experience as a volleyball player has taught me an abundance of things throughout my career. My aspirations for my future volleyball career is to teach the younger generation what this sport is truly for. Bringing us together and creating memories through love, sweat, and tears is why I play volleyball. Volleyball will always remain, but the caliber of each individual will always change, which creates more competition and more times of fun.
