My love for volleyball started when I was in the fifth grade. Before volleyball, I played basketball for a few years and slowly lost interest in the sport. Since my parents wanted me to play a sport, they signed me up for volleyball. At first, I wasn't very interested, but as I learned the game, and played it, I immediately fell in love with the sport. It was exciting to run and slide all over the court to keep the ball up. As the years passed, my skills improved, as did my desire to play at the next level. I want to play collegiate volleyball at the highest level I can, I’ve had dreams of playing to my fullest potential and to be the best athlete I can be. Even if I'm tired or sore, or if I just had a bad day, I will push through anything to be able to play the sport that I love. Being able to play collegiate volleyball motivates me everyday to do my best. Even though volleyball is very important to me, my academics are as well. I am a hardworking student, who is disciplined and listens to anything he’s told to do. I will work as hard as I can to perform at my best at all times, to become the athlete I aspire to be.
Although I am on the smaller side, I am very versatile. I have been an Outside Hitter for a while, I have even played some middle during my school season, and during my high school Varsity season, I played Outisde and Rightside hitter, as well as D/S. Being a short hitter, I am able to look for open spots on the court and hit them with as much force as I can. I can block and attack against bigger opponents and I am not intimidated by the biggest guys on the court. I am determined to overcome big hitters and big blocks to score points and win games with my team. I am able to serve tight seams and pass dimes to my setters, while working as hard as I can to make every point matter. I believe I would make a great addition to your team. Being undersized isn't a disadvantage to me as it works well in my favor and I will work hard and put in as much effort as I physically and mentally can.
