Personal Statement

Winning the AAU National Championships with my club, Sports Performance Volleyball Club, my 14s year was by far the most memorable and inspirational event in my volleyball career. The hard work and dedication I put in both on and off the court helped my team to that victory.  Without the extra hours of going in before and after practice, I don't think that championship could have been achievable. Most people who win a national championship are content and believe they can't achieve anything more, but when I won I couldn't wait to get back into the gym the next day and train even harder for the upcoming season. My entire life I have been a leader and this shows when I'm on the court. When times get rough during a match and my teammates have given up, I go to them and tell them it's not over and we still have a chance. This is a trait I know many people do not possess and which makes me quite different than other recruits. I have been the captain of both my high school junior varsity team as a freshman and all of my club teams the past four years. I have aspired to play college volleyball ever since I was eleven and watched the 2014 NCAA Men's Volleyball Championships with Loyola beating Stanford. The joy and exhilaration of winning such a prestigious event was something you could clearly see on the faces of the Rambler players when they won and I knew from that moment forward I wanted to experience that once-in-a-lifetime feeling. I'm confident that I can help change your college program and leave an impact on it through my dedication not just towards volleyball but also with academics, and the ability to bring a team together when challenges are faced to overcome them and come out the other side not just better volleyball players but also better individuals in life.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
