I have grown up around volleyball, but this is really me first attempt at playing on a competitive level. I really enjoy it, and I believe that this is something I can do at the next level. My coach told our team before the season started that volleyball is addicting once we get into it, and I couldn't agree with him more. My mom played volleyball at my current high school (Linn-Mar), and she also played in college for Mount Mercy University, where she is a hall of fame inductee in both schools. She really got me into the whole idea of playing volleyball, and I couldn't thank her more for it. I'd love to go into athletic training and studying it in college, but I'd also really like to play volleyball in college in which I can make some sort of influence on the team. I think I am a good candidate for any school because I am a leader, I play very gritty and with a lot of effort, and I play with a lot of emotion. I have been told many times by any people that I have a lot of potential, because I am one of the most teachable and moldable players out there. Along with being intense and a leader on the court, I am both of those in the weight room. I am constantly in the weight room working on my form, technique, and getting stronger every time I leave.
